Engineering designed to work in Northland, by people who know what that means.

What we do in Civil Engineering

Civil engineering in Northland takes more than technical competence. You need to understand the terrain, the conditions, and the practical realities of delivering infrastructure in a region with its own challenges. That local knowledge matters because good design has to work here, not just on paper.

Hoskin’s engineering team is led by Aaron Parker, a Chartered Professional Engineer with years of experience delivering civil engineering across Northland. We work with local authorities, developers and property owners, and we know the standards, constraints and expectations that shape projects in this region.

Because we work closely with Hoskin’s project management and environmental teams, design decisions are made with the full picture in front of us, not in isolation. That helps us make better decisions early. We design with buildability in mind, are upfront about what will and won’t work, and work to resolve issues in design rather than discover them on site.

The result is practical, resilient infrastructure that is safe, buildable, and suited to the environment it will serve.

What we do in this space:

  • Civil and structural engineering
  • Hydrological modelling
  • Infrastructure design and peer review
  • Roading, drainage and stormwater design
  • Three waters - drinking water, wastewater and stormwater design
